L7X® aluminum cylinder
L7X® cylinders—In Europe and Australia, Luxfer also offers industrial and specialty gas cylinders made from Luxfer’s higher-strength L7X® (7000-series) aluminum alloy. L7X cylinder advantages include higher-pressure filling and significantly more gas capacity with no increase in cylinder size or noticeable weight gain.
Luxfer aluminum cylinders are cycle-tested in excess of 100,000 cycles at service pressure to ensure dependable performance. Up to 40% lighter in weight than comparable steel cylinders, Luxfer aluminum cylinders are also highly corrosion-resistant and well suited to low-temperature applications.
These non-magnetic cylinders may be safely used near magnetic-sensitive equipment, including high-technology scanning devices.
